Local visibility, explained
Help AI search understand your business.
When someone asks an AI assistant for a local service, your website needs to explain what you do, where you work and why the information can be trusted.
Start with a business worth finding and a website that explains it. AI visibility work makes your public information easier to access, interpret and check. It cannot guarantee a recommendation, a citation or a place above a competitor.
What does AI visibility work involve?
For an Irish trade or service business, the first job is usually practical: confirm your services and coverage, fix pages search systems cannot access, answer the questions customers ask before booking, and show evidence you have permission to publish.
A plumber offering planned bathroom refits needs different answers from an emergency call-out service. The content should help the right customer decide whether to contact you.
Six things we check
- Access: can a public visitor and search crawler retrieve the important pages without a login, error or unwanted indexing block?
- Identity: do the website and genuine business profiles agree on the name, contact details, services and coverage?
- Answers: can a customer find what is included, what affects the price, how enquiries work and what you do not offer?
- Evidence: are there real project details, attributable reviews and relevant qualifications, with permission to use them?
- Connections: do service pages link to useful area guides, proof and a clear enquiry route?
- Results: are we recording completed changes, observed mentions and qualified enquiries separately?
Is this different from ordinary SEO?
Much of the foundation is shared. Google's guidance builds on ordinary search fundamentals and asks owners to check their Search Console inclusion setting for generative AI features. There is no special AI schema or additional AI text file required. Clear public pages and accurate information remain the starting point. Read Google's guidance.
Different services have their own search crawlers and access controls. We check those against current documentation. Allowing a crawler makes a page accessible; it does not tell us whether the page was indexed, selected or recommended.
What does a useful answer page look like?
Take “Do you fit EV chargers in Swords?” A useful page states whether the business actually does that work, the area it covers, what information is needed for a quote, what installation includes and which verified qualifications apply. A relevant completed project can help a customer assess the service. None of those details should be invented to fill a template.

How do we know if it helped?
Agree the enquiries the business wants first. Record a baseline, then keep a dated change log. Review indexed pages, search visits, observed AI citations and enquiries that mention how they found the business. A mention without a link, a linked citation, a website visit and a booked job are different outcomes.
Repeat a small, fixed set of realistic questions across the same search experiences. Record the question, location, date and sources shown. Treat each answer as a sample, because results vary. Search Console now reports impressions in supported Google Search AI features separately. Track those alongside search clicks and attributable enquiries; an AI impression is not a visit or a lead. Check whether the report has data for your property. Read the report documentation.
What should you avoid paying for?
- Guaranteed ChatGPT recommendations or a guaranteed first position.
- Hundreds of near-identical pages with different town names.
- Fake reviews, invented jobs or qualifications, and hidden instructions aimed at AI systems.
- A report that counts completed edits as new customers.
Start with your actual business.
Send your website, areas and the work you want more of. Ask for AI visibility to be included in the discussion. We agree the checks and any additional work before you commit.
