The Engineering Playbook
The 4 architectural levers that moved jamfloorscreeding.com to #1.
As our internal ranking playbook proved: “The Google profile gets you the towns near your yard. The website gets you Dublin, Naas, and Google AI Overviews.” Here are the four specific engineering components built into jamfloorscreeding.com that any Irish trade or clinic can verify live:
Lever 01 · County & Town URL Architecture
Exact-match county URLs with local project context & schema
Instead of one page claiming “We cover Leinster”, we built 31 static pages linked across 34 internal routes — one URL per county/town in the Google profile’s service area, and one URL per service.
Every location page uses an exact-match title (Floor Screeding Dublin | Liquid & Sand and Cement | JAM), a clean <h1> (Floor Screeding in Dublin), local subcontractor and site-access logistics (pump hose lengths, ready-mix batching plant radii, UFH manifold checks), and synchronized HomeAndConstructionBusiness + Service + BreadcrumbList JSON-LD.

Lever 02 · Dwell-Time Engineering
Interactive m² Cost & Depth Calculator (3x dwell time)
When a builder, self-builder, or quantity surveyor lands on a trade site, they want to calculate their specific floor area and screed depth immediately. Hiding behind “Call for a quote” causes instant pogo-sticking back to Google.
We engineered an interactive m² Cost & Depth Calculator comparing 50mm liquid screed (anhydrite/cementitious flow screed over underfloor heating pipes) against 75mm traditional sand & cement screed. Visitors stay on the page 3x longer adjusting floor m² and UFH pipe depths — sending massive engagement signals to Google’s Navboost ranking system.

Lever 03 · AI Overview Extraction
Direct-answer HTML <table> pricing specs
Google’s Gemini AI Overview parser does not want 1,500 words of waffle before seeing a number. It looks for semantic <table> markup with explicit column headers, metric units (mm, m², W/mK), and euro ranges (€/m²).
By formatting JAM’s exact Irish supply-and-pump rates (€22–€38/m² for liquid screed at 50mm depth), foot-traffic times (24–48 hours), and drying rates (1mm/day up to 40mm) in a clean HTML table right beneath a concise answer paragraph, Google extracts the table verbatim for "liquid screed cost ireland".

Lever 04 · GBP + Review Velocity Alignment
Category precision & job-plus-county review wording
We aligned JAM’s Google Business Profile 1:1 with the website: Primary Category set to Flooring contractor, custom services named after the exact search terms (Floor Screed, Liquid Screed, Concrete Screeding), and sameAs social links verified.
Crucially, after every pour, James sends a single plain-English WhatsApp review link prompting the client to mention the job and town (e.g. “liquid screed in Naas”, “floor screeding in Dublin”). Those keywords trigger Google Maps justification snippets right inside the 3-Pack.
